Donation Privacy Policy

Scope

Zeffy provides the online donation service and makes certain personal and donation records available to JW PubMedia One as the recipient organization. This policy describes only JW PubMedia One's handling of records made available to it through Zeffy. The general JWPUBS™ Privacy Policy continues to apply to information handled by the JWPUBS™ website itself.

Information Available to JW PubMedia One

Depending on the information provided through Zeffy and the records Zeffy makes available to the recipient organization, JW PubMedia One may access:

• Personal information: Name, email address, postal address, and other information or responses voluntarily submitted in connection with a donation.
• Donation records: The donation amount and date, associated form or campaign, transaction status, receipt information, and records concerning a refund, reversal, dispute, or chargeback.
• Communications: Messages, questions, or requests sent in connection with a donation.

The records Zeffy makes available to JW PubMedia One do not include complete payment-card numbers or security codes. The JWPUBS™ website does not collect or store them.

How Information Is Used

JW PubMedia One may use personal and donation records made available through Zeffy to:

• receive, administer, reconcile, and document donations;
• respond to donation-related questions or requests and address refunds, reversals, disputes, or chargebacks;
• maintain financial, accounting, audit, and internal-control records;
• detect or address suspected fraud, abuse, security incidents, or unauthorized activity;
• meet applicable legal or regulatory obligations; and
• prepare aggregate or de-identified summaries for operational planning and accountability.

Information received through Zeffy is not used to create a JWPUBS™ account, determine access to JWPUBS™ services, or provide special access. JW PubMedia One does not sell or rent personal information for advertising or marketing.

Access and Disclosure

JW PubMedia One limits access to personal and donation records made available through Zeffy to individuals authorized to administer donations or perform related financial, security, or compliance responsibilities.

JW PubMedia One may disclose records obtained through Zeffy and under its control to accountants, auditors, legal or professional advisers, financial institutions, service providers, regulators, or law-enforcement authorities when reasonably necessary for donation administration, security, dispute handling, professional advice, or legal compliance. Only information reasonably necessary for the applicable purpose will be disclosed.

Retention

JW PubMedia One retains records made available through Zeffy only for as long as reasonably necessary to administer and document donations, maintain financial or accounting records, address refunds or disputes, protect against fraud or abuse, and meet applicable legal obligations. Records that are no longer required will be deleted, de-identified, or securely disposed of where reasonably practicable.

Security

JW PubMedia One applies reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to records made available through Zeffy. Access is limited according to operational need, and any copies exported from Zeffy must be handled as confidential information and protected against unauthorized access, use, alteration, or disclosure.

No electronic system, transmission, or storage method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices and Requests

Requests to access, correct, or delete records obtained through Zeffy and held by JW PubMedia One may be submitted using contact information provided by JW PubMedia One in connection with the donation. Identity and donation details may be requested to verify the request and locate the applicable record. Some records may need to be retained for financial, dispute, security, or legal reasons.

Requests concerning information held by the provider must be directed to the provider under its Privacy Policy.

Separate Accounts

A JWPUBS™ account is not required to donate and is separate from any account used with the provider. Deleting a JWPUBS™ account does not delete information held by the provider or send a deletion request to the provider. Actions taken through the provider do not affect a JWPUBS™ account.

Third-Party Provider

For information about how the provider handles information through its services, review its Privacy Policy. Use of the provider's services is also subject to its Terms of Use.

Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when donation-administration practices involving Zeffy, services, or legal obligations change. The updated date will be revised when changes are posted.
