Long share links or website addresses can be difficult to type and keep, and they can look cluttered. Short links make the URL shorter and simpler, making it faster to reach the destination.

How it works

Generate a short link in a few steps

  1. Copy a URL from jw.org®, an official account, or another official website of the organization using the Share feature or your browser’s address bar.
  2. Paste the URL in the input field, then click Create Short Link button.
  3. Confirm the usage prompt, then copy the generated ijw.link URL.
  4. Use the link where needed.

Important limits

Usage limits and link behavior

Short links must not be used in any form of public ministry. This helps prevent confusion with the official website, which should continue to be promoted in the ministry. Short links may be used for non-commercial purposes outside the ministry.

Short links are not editable. After a link is created, it can only be deleted while the generated result is still shown. To change the destination, delete the link during that step and create a new one.
