Learn More About This Tool

The short-link generator converts lengthy URLs into short links, making it easier for publishers to save, organize, and revisit material for personal study, congregation assignments, and other organizational activities. Add these links to personal notes, cite them in research references, or share them with fellow publishers.

Because it eliminates the need to copy long addresses or repeatedly search for the same material, the tool is especially helpful for anyone who regularly references articles or media. For example, the share URL for the article “Is Truth Important Anymore?” — https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=501100065&srcid=share — can be shortened to ijw.link/t5r4g, making it much easier to note, reference, or share.

How to Use

To create a short link, follow these steps:

  1. Visit jw.org® (or another organization-owned site) and copy the page’s URL using the share button or directly from the address bar.
  2. Return to this page and paste the URL into the input field.
  3. Click Create Short Link.
  4. Wait a moment while the tool generates your short link.
  5. Copy the new link and use it as needed.

Limitations

Use this tool—and any links it produces—only within the organization. Do not distribute these links publicly or use them during return visits or Bible studies; doing so could cause confusion with the organization’s official websites. During public ministry, direct interested individuals to the official website, jw.org®. This tool is an internal convenience, not a replacement for the organization’s online resources.
